Technical Product & Process Engineer

Hunter Douglas Kadaň s.r.o. is part of the international Hunter Douglas Group, which operates in more than 100 countries worldwide. It is one of the leading companies in the manufacture of window blinds and shading systems.

We are looking for a technically skilled and improvement-driven Technical Product & Process Engineer who will play a key role in introducing new products into production, optimizing manufacturing processes, and coordinating technical product changes across our international organization.

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding, analytical thinking, and strong coordination skills across production, engineering, purchasing, quality, and customer-facing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the industrialization and implementation of new products into manufacturing
• Coordination of product launches, product updates, and collection implementations
• Cooperation with HQ and local departments including Production, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service
• Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles
• Support production teams with technical specifications, BOMs, and ERP system accuracy
• Lead process optimization and material efficiency improvement initiatives
• Manage product-related changes and implementation within internal IT/ERP systems
• Perform pricing calculations and support pricing strategy development
• Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects
• Analyze sales, product performance, and operational KPIs
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and executive leadership
• Coordinate international production transfer and implementation projects
• Deliver training and technical support related to new collections and products

Requirements

• Experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technical Product Management, or Operations Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical mindset with ability to understand production processes and product structures
• Experience working with ERP/IT systems and production documentation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• English language proficiency (daily communication with international teams)
• Advanced Excel/data analysis skills
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production technologies
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma or similar methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with new product introduction (NPI)
• Knowledge of CAD drawings and technical documentation
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PFMEA, or PPAP
• Familiarity with Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM)
